This document outlines how we handle information when you use the Force Sampler app and the forcesampler.dk website. Force Sampler is designed to be privacy-first: all case data, including photos, reports, samples, and your technician profile, stays on your device. The app has no user accounts, no cloud storage, no analytics, and no tracking. The website is used to provide invited users with access to download links and installation instructions. By installing and using “Force Sampler,” you agree to the terms set forth in this document. Please read it carefully.
Privacy Policy
1. Data Stored on Your Device
The app stores the following data locally on your device only:
a. Technician profile: your name and company name, used to populate reports.
b. Case data: building information, sample records, addresses, and notes you enter.
c. Photos: building photos, sample close-ups, context photos, and floor plans you capture or import.
d. Generated reports: PDF and DOCX documents created from your case data.
e. App preferences: language setting and activation status.
This data is stored in the app’s private sandbox on your device. It is not transmitted to Benzoft or any third party, except for the limited network communication described below, such as anonymous counting signals and address autocomplete requests.
2. Data We Receive
a. Anonymous counting signal: When you email or share a case report for the first time, the app sends a single anonymous signal to our server. This allows us to count how many reports are generated, and nothing more. The signal contains a random identifier, a timestamp, the app version, and the platform. The random identifier is used only to prevent double-counting. It is not linked to you, your device, or your case data. The signal does not contain any case data, personal data, photos, names, addresses, or device identifiers.
b. IP address handling: Your IP address is visible to our server during the network request, as is standard for internet communication. We do not store your IP address. For rate-limiting purposes only, a one-way hash of your IP address combined with a daily rotating salt may be held temporarily. This hash cannot be reversed to recover your IP address.
c. Signal retention: Individual counting signals are retained for 90 days. After this period, they are aggregated into anonymous daily totals, and the original signal records are permanently deleted.
d. Email, user-initiated: When you choose to email a report, the app opens your device’s email client with the report attached. The email is sent through your own email account. Benzoft does not receive a copy unless you choose to send it to us.
e. Website access logs: When you visit forcesampler.dk, standard technical information such as IP address, browser information, timestamps, and server request logs may be processed for operation, security, troubleshooting, and access control. These logs are not used for analytics, advertising, or behavioral profiling.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
a. No user accounts or login credentials.
b. No device identifiers, such as IDFA or Android ID.
c. No location tracking.
d. No analytics, usage tracking, or behavioral profiling.
e. No advertising data.
f. No contact list, calendar, or other on-device data beyond what is described above.
g. No analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on the website.
4. Third-Party Services
The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Network communication is limited to the anonymous counting signal, directed to Benzoft-controlled infrastructure, and address autocomplete requests to a public Danish government address service. Until 10 August 2026 the app uses DAWA (Danmarks Adressers Web API), operated by Dataforsyningen at api.dataforsyningen.dk; on 10 August 2026 it transitions to Adressevælger, operated by Klimadatastyrelsen (the Danish Climate Data Agency) at adressevaelger.dk, ahead of DAWA’s decommissioning on 17 August 2026. When you type an address, your query is sent to whichever service is active to provide suggestions. No personal data beyond the typed address text is transmitted by the app.
5. Your Rights
Because case data and technician profile data stay on your device, you remain in control of this information. You can view your data within the app, delete individual cases, delete all app data where supported, or uninstall the app to permanently remove locally stored data. Since Benzoft does not store your case data, photos, reports, technician profile, or device identifiers on its servers, there is no user-specific app data for Benzoft to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf. The anonymous counting signals cannot be linked back to you.

6. Data Security
Data stored on your device is protected by your device’s own security measures, such as passcode, biometric lock, and device encryption where enabled. Network requests are limited to the purposes described in this document.

We reserve the right to update or modify this document when necessary. Any changes will be effective when posted on our website with an updated date. Please review this document periodically to stay informed about how we handle information.
